Like a Child Part III

A child will see an obese person in a crowd
and shout "Look at that fat man!"
Her parents will scold her, then look at their companions
and laugh "You can't take them anywhere."
Oh, that I had such a child follow around behind me!
If you and your husband are bound for a formal dinner
and, unaware, you have something unflattering
hanging out your nose,
will you not want him to bring it to your attention?
Your child would tell you at first glance and giggle.
My friend, if you catch me being sinful,
if you notice my foolishness hanging out,
be like a child and tell me!
Dare not worry what I might think, if you truly love me.
A little one will hold your feet directly in the fire
instead of mollycoddling you with lies and diplomacy.
"Your breath stinks!"
"You've got toilet paper stuck to your shoe!"
"You said a dirty word when you hit your thumb with that hammer!"
Suffer the little ones come unto us.
They will lead you to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus said "Love the Lord with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your strength
and with all your mind."
If you love me as a true brother in Christ
tell me when I stray in my devotion to the Lord.
Beware, however. Having the honesty of a child
will not endear you to your friends. In fact, you may lose some.
A true child of God will thank His Father
for having such a friend as you.
Chastise me and I will love you for it,

even if I don't act like it.
