The prime motivating factors for the liberal worldview are not freedom and liberty, but rather fear, anger and hatred. American Liberalism is best understood as the domestic manifestation of Leftism as it has evolved in the halls of academia and Congress. While occasionally wearing the disguise of populism or progressivism in an effort to appeal to the whims of the mob, liberalism is unconcerned with actually improving the lives of people, but is dominated by fear, anger and hatred. Fear of freedom of thought, anger that their views are not universally embraced, and hatred for all who stand in the way of their agenda.
Understand that when I speak of liberals or liberalism, I’m not talking about the average Liberal / Democrat / Progressive American citizen, many of whom are my friends and family and who have divergent views from my own, but seek an inclusive, mutually beneficial ”live and let live” environment. I’m talking about liberals or liberalism as a political ideology that seeks to attack and destroy the traditions, culture and values that have created the greatest, most prosperous civilization on Earth.
The fact that the left seeks to fundamentally transform all they see and encounter is not in dispute – it is something they proudly claim. They are not satisfied with a 10,000 year understanding of the founding principle of society – the family unit extending from the marriage of one man and one woman. They cannot accept true freedom of thought and expression, stated most eloquently in the Constitutional protections of the rights of the individual; freedoms of speech, religion, and the freedom which secure those rights against an overreaching, iron-fisted government, the right to bear arms are abhorrent to them when upheld by those opposed to their world.
They ascribe to conservatives a racial hatred and bigotry that they themselves have perpetrated. Witness the recent tweet from MSNBC regarding the Cheerio cereal commercial featuring a biracial family talking about the impending arrival of a new baby:
