Let's get serious. Either Obama is a much more indecisive, weak kneed, environmentalist hostage than we thought, or he has a nefarious agenda for delaying approval of Keystone. I'm betting on the second option. Our nation's energy independence matters not to him. This is another push for governmental control using the "green energy" mantra under the cloak of environmentalism.
Remember, in Obama's first term, Congress refused to to pass the intrusive, job killing, power grabbing Cap and Trade bill. He announced in 2010 that he would not rule out bypassing Congress using the EPA. source There have been many new economy strangling regulations issued by the EPA since. It certainly appears as though every action thus man takes has the result of weakening us in every area, the economy, the military, the educational system, foreign policy, etc. Is he The Enemy Within"? Given his actions in just about every area, that definitely appears to be the case. His outright obstructionism regarding the implementation of Keystone just adds to this possible scenario. Either out of ignorance and misguided ideology, or malicious intent, he is bringing America to its knees.
From FOX "Obama also said in a New York Times interview last year that there was "no evidence" the pipeline would be a "big jobs generator," claiming it might create 2,000 jobs in the construction phase and far fewer permanent jobs.
But pipeline supporters have challenged that claim. House Speaker John Boehner said it could create "more than 100,000 jobs," citing separate analyses which include indirect jobs.
"President Obama is out of excuses," Boehner said Friday.
