I am not a Christie fan for many reasons.
Having said that, even though he initially handled "Bridgegate" well, I doubt that he will survive politically--even if he is proven "not guilty". They (the left) will hound, denigrate, ridicule, and beat him down because he is a threat to their beloved Hillary. In addition, surely what was behind the bridge closure was already known. Why was it brought out just now? Well, in politics, as well as in comedy, timing is everything. Christie has emerged as a viable threat to Hillary; therefore, he must be and probably will be eliminated.
While I do not wish to minimize the harm done by the closing of the George Washington Bridge, I must say that it pales in comparison to Hillary's participation in the murderous Benghazi cover-up.
To the main stream media, the left, and to the koolade drinkers the only thing that matters is that Hillary gets into the White House at all costs, just as the present occupant did.
I also predict that should any other member of the GOP become a threat, they too, will be denigrated and "Palinized". Very few politicians, or indeed human beings, have a pristine past. Everyone one has at least one minor incident either from their youth, early adulthood, or even recently that can be spun into a major event worthy of a federal investigation.
GOP candidates beware. Have your swords and shields ready.You will need them.
