A & E Uncomfortable With Duck Dynasty Spirituality?

To me, this is just another case of the "ARTS" pandering to or caving into political correctness.

Apparently, Phil Robertson's suspension from the popular show was not the first run-in with the A & E producers. According to an article in the Examiner.com there have been production edits all along of most comments referencing faith.

"It’s been long known that Hollywood, and today’s pop culture media doesn’t readily acknowledge the Christian faith. The Robertson’s want to always encourage others to come to salvation in Jesus Christ, but reportedly the show’s producers find this defining component of the Robertson’s character to be a storyline that they shy away from. In fact, a great deal is misleadingly edited out.
“They pretty much cut out most of the spiritual things,” Phil Robertson admitted for the November 2012 issue of The Christian Chronicle. “We say them, but they just don’t run them on the show.”

If A & E is so uncomfortable with  any such references, why did they choose to do a reality show with people of faith? As time went on, did they regret their decision and start looking for an excuse to dump the entire show? Their action makes no sense since they could have easily stated that Phil's views on the subject of homosexuality do not reflect their own. That is the standard way most media outlets handle controversial statements.

Now according to The Duck Commander  the future of the entire show is in doubt because the sons cannot visualize going on with out the patriarch. Perhaps, shamefully, this is the end game. If so, it is a most cowardly way out for A & E.
