Happy Veterans Day

“A man who is good enough to shed his blood for his country is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards.” ~Theodore Roosevelt

There are several worthy organizations whose efforts honor those who’ve sacrificed for our country. Please consider saying “thank you” to our vets by making a charitable donation today while it’s fresh in your mind. Today should be a MONEY BOMB for every soldiers & veterans charity! Here are just a few…

Wounded Warriors is an awesome group providing services and programs that ease the burdens of the most seriously wounded and their families, aid in the recovery process and smooth their transition back to civilian life. From rehabilitation and prosthetic limbs to adaptive sports, they have a variety of programs to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement of our soldiers who have returned from the battlefield with service-connected wounds, injuries, or illnesses. http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/

Soldier’s Angels has 20 different teams and programs supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. http://soldiersangels.org/

“We send letters, care packages, and comfort items to the deployed, and we support their families here at home. We also provide assistance to the wounded, continuing support for veterans, remembrances and comfort for families of the fallen, and immediate response to unique difficulties.”

The Home Front Cares is a group who supports the family members of deployed soldiers, providing assistance for utility bills, car repairs, house repairs, childcare, evictions, food, and other family emergencies. They also pay travel costs and incidental expenses of military family members traveling to visit seriously wounded service members in military hospitals. http://www.thehomefrontcares.org/

Operation Gratitude helps by sending care packages addressed to individual service members deployed overseas. http://www.opgratitude.com/

You can also contribute to Project VALOUR-IT, a division of Soldier’s Angels that helps provide voice-controlled/adaptive laptop computers and other technology to support Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines recovering from hand wounds and other severe injuries. http://soldiersangels.givezooks.com/campaigns/soldiers-angels-project-valour-it-team-army

And no list of veterans charities would be complete without including the USO. In addition to their well-known entertainment tours for soldiers at more than 160 locations in 27 states and 14 countries, they provide everything from free phone cards to care packages full of much needed items. https://www.uso.org/donate/

Happy Veterans Day to all who have served and protected our great nation. We value your courage, your sacrifices, and your gallantry. Thank you for our freedom!
