Dumb and Dumber on Fox News Sunday
used to watch Fox news on Sunday morning. Not all the time, but when I did tune into Sunday news, it was always Fox. I thought it was the only chance of getting relatively accurate and unbiased reporting.
However, as many of us become more educated, I at least find it more and more difficult to watch even Fox News.
A case in point was this past Sunday. Chris Wallace had as his guest, Bob Woodward, the fossil of Watergate fame.
Has Woodward done anything of significance since the Nixon era? If so, I don’t recall it. It’s like Al Bundy of the comedy “Married with Children”. His life was one failure after another, yet he still regales everyone he meets with the story of scoring four touchdowns in one high school football game, decades earlier.
Anyway, Wallace was interviewing Woodward about the Obamacare rollout disaster. He asked Woodward if he had seen anything like it, being that Woodward had been around for so long.
Woodward’s answer: “Well, I have to think about what this is. It’s a mess, clearly, but what it isn’t, and I think you have to look at the question of motive. And the president’s motive here, even through their deep problems with implementation, he wants to do something good for 30 million people and get them health insurance. So this isn’t Watergate. This isn’t Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.”
And Wallace’s response: “I’m not saying it’s a scandal. I’m just, what it seems to be is rank incompetence.”
Well Chris and Bob; you’re both wrong. This is in fact a scandal of monumental proportion. Woodward is right about one thing. It isn’t Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. Clinton and Lewinsky wasn’t about Lewinsky. It was about a president committing perjury, lying under oath. And according to Woodward, I’m guessing the Holocaust wasn’t as bad as Watergate.
Now, how could anyone say the Obamacare rollout isn’t a scandal. No, not like Watergate, where relatively few were affected and the bad guys were in fact brought to justice; a president resigning in shame. No, not like that.
Obamacare is millions of times worse already and is just getting started.
And motive Bob? Really? Is everyone in Washington DC deaf, blind and dumb? We all know the motive is to eventually drive everyone into a single-payer – National Socialist system. It’s not helping anyone. The exact opposite. And to say or even think that Obama wants to do something good for 30 million people is a joke! How can these Beltway boobs not see this?
Woodward goes on to explain that Obamacare is really a money issue. That it will blow a hole in the budget.
Budget? What budget? We float from one Continuing Resolution to the next and then raise the debt ceiling. So again – what budget?
These fools in Washington, virtually all of them, can’t see that Obama and his Alinsky radical minions may be attempting the Cloward and Piven strategy of overwhelming and thus collapsing the system.
This rollout may have been planned or just a happy accident but they’ve known it would be a disaster for a long time and did nothing. That leads me to believe it may have been planned.
I’m sure they think, if they can just hold out long enough, allowing the Republicans to tinker around the edges, they’ll achieve their desired result.
