How Do We Take the Senate in 2014?

By Darla Dawald
2014 presents an opportunity once again for conservatives to take back the Senate. Based upon much that has been happening in Congress this may pose quite a challenge. Depending on what happens over the next few months will most likely dictate the path the GOP is heading down for next year's Mid-Term Elections.

When I traveled with the Tea Party Express in 2010, the speech I gave at each rally was about getting the vote out. I asked the audience to raise their hands if they normally vote in the presidential election and almost all the hands went up. Then I asked if they voted in past Mid-Term elections and few hands went up. I finished each speech with asking them to make a promise to me and America that they were committing to showing up and voting in the Mid-Term elections from here on out.

In 2014, all 435 members of the US House of Representatives are up for re-election. Every two years there is an opportunity to either re-elect or elect new members. Currently we hold a majority in the House of Representatives. We must hold on to our majority, but that doesn't mean that all of those Republicans are worthy of our vote. The mistake we don't want to make is losing that seat to a Democrat. We should look to replace RINOs with strong conservative Republicans and hopefully you are working locally to support the efforts of those candidates.

The Senate is the area that needs the most attention and effort. If you live in an area that your Senators are not up for re-election we need you to pick a 2014 Senate state to focus on. If we all work together to educate, inform others, assist with phone banking, and disseminating materials, we'll have a great chance of taking back the Senate.   Continue Reading......
