Always desperate to silence debates they cannot win on a level playing field, Democrats (this time in the Senate) are quickly moving behind the scenes to target journalism from non-establishment (i.e., not-Democrat approved) sources.
The amendment to the proposed new "shield law" now moving through the Senate Judiciary Committee (which pretends to protect journalists from vindictive, lawless tyrants like Obama) would put the DOJ, of all things, in charge of deciding who is a "legitimate" journalist deserving of freedoms of the press, and who is not.
This would be the same administration that illegally seized media phone records, singled-out journalists who questioned Obama and goes out of its way to insult, exclude and undermine any media outlet that dares to report multiple sides of the story. One could hardly find a more corrupt, ultra-partisan group of fanatics to put in charge of such a tyrannical nanny state function.
