I hear some of the pundits asking why we care about the royalty in Great Britain. The recent addition of the third in line to the throne of Kate and Williams newborn son by the name of Prince George, dominated much of the news here in the USA, a nation who ended bowing to anyone even the King of which we rebelled against...another King George.
I won't bow to any king either. But, I do have to acknowledge the American Idol mentality of our nation. Many little girls in my day, past and present as well, have imagined being a Princess. We dream of being treated as so worthy we should be pampered and hailed as Her Majesty. But, today we simply holler "equal rights" mostly because it is our body...our choice...and we demand equal pay and respect because we are _____...who knows how the blank will be filled in. Today more and more young mothers are also single in our nation and this appears to be a rising problem within our society.
If the nation...little girls and boys need a role model, who is better to shine upon our hearts and minds than a couple who exudes the grand royalty, show respect for each other and married before they expected a child. Personally, I think the world is ready to see Kate and William headline the news instead of Jay Z and Beyounce.
