THERE NEEDS TO BE A NEW WAR
Yes, I know that as Conservatives, we find boycotting any place abhorrent
but I think we HAVE to begin to rethink that policy.
The recent Zimmerman trial is just the latest reason, but it's important
to bring it up, because of just how much turmoil it has caused.
What I'm getting at, though quite possibly way too late, would be to boycott
every main stream media provider in the Country. I don't mean just for a day,
or a week or a month......I mean PERMANENTLY....or at LEAST until their News
divisions begin to once again practice JOURNALISM.
Journalism USED to be the Fourth Estate, the so called 4th branch of Government.
They called to task our leaders, they were the watchdogs of democracy.
Unfortunately, for the past 20 years or so, they're simply the spokesmen for the Left.
Before you all go nuts on me, I realize this has NO CHANCE of going anywhere.
As conservatives, we bluster, we bloviate, and we talk about our disgust with where our cherished country has come to. But THAT'S AS FAR AS IT GOES.
No amount of Tea Party rallies, Petitions to Congress or letters to the White House is going to change ONE thing in Washington. The ONLY thing that can have ANY effect
on what goes on in Washington, or for THAT matter, LOCAL government, is an HONEST,
UNBIASED, watchdog Journalistic ethic. With VERY few exceptions, that simply does NOT
exist any longer.
News departments have ALWAYS been a LOSS for Networks. The cost of what it takes to
run newsrooms, send reporters all over the world, cover every important news event, no
matter WHERE in the world it's taking place costs SO much more that any advertising
revenue those programs could POSSIBLY generate.
Where they make their money is PRIME TIME. That pays ALL the bills, or at least the bulk
of them.
If we are EVER....and I mean EVER going to even APPROACH an America where Democracy,
the Rule of Law, honest Political debate, and a defense of not only the American Way of Life,
but the Constitution Republic our founders gave us, we MUST....we are REQUIRED to bring
our Journalistic ethical responsibilities back to the forefront.
I have not watched ANY mainstream network programming for more than probably 15 years,
and that may well be a conservative estimate. First and foremost it's become incredibly STUPID.
Honey Boo Boo??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I was appalled by the likes of Jerry Springer, but
these days, that could be considered HIGH BROW.
I know most have programming they NEVER miss......TOUGH...get over it or quit b*******
about the state of the country.
Tune out NCIS, THE VOICE, THE BIG BANG THEORY, PERSON OF INTEREST, BLUE BLOODS, and every
other main stream media program in prime time.......EVERY ONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION, and every one
in ANY of their Cable affiliates.
This represents the LIFEBLOOD of network television. Just IMAGINE a network not being able to sell
advertising, their revenue source, due to low viewership.
If you are really as pissed with the main stream media as you CLAIM to be.....If you HONESTLY want
your country back, if you can at LEAST sacrifice a TINY portion of your comfort and happiness, as you
KNOW our brothers and sisters do every day in places like Afghanistan, then PLEASE, keep b******* about
the Main Stream Media being the voice of racist, Left Wing radicals. Otherwise SHUT THE HELL UP, you're
not HELPING us in ANY way shape or form.
As I said earlier, this will NEVER, NOT IN A MILLION YEARS, go
ANYWHERE....Conservative or not.....we are
NOT willing to give up those things we love, even if it means that by doing so, MAYBE.....JUST MAYBE, the
networks would get the message that we're SERIOUS, and without US....they're on the path of the Saturday
Evening Post.
I already KNOW those who will not only "like" this, but they'll copy it and post it in other places around the
internet, other conservative sites, Tea Party sites, other social networking sites, and they'll, if they have not
already, abandon ALL mainstream network television, ( Don't forget every liberal newspaper and news magazine)
in the country. Most of you, Conservative or not will have already stopped reading LONG ago.
I'm WARNING you....this IS the fight we HAVE to fight. This is what drives EVERY OTHER LIBERAL ISSUE that
exists. Without the Main Stream Media, no one would have even HEARD about Zimmerman.
If we had the Journalistic ethics of the Edward R. Murrow's, and Walter Cronkite's of the past, Obama not only
would NEVER have been re-elected, quite likely he would not have been elected in the FIRST place.
If this movement actually DID take life, things COULD change on a DIME.....but they will NOT. Comfort and
entertainment have become what we cherish most, in SPITE of our rhetoric, conservatives simply do NOT have
the constitution and resolve to drop those things they're comfortable and happy with for ANY greater good.
If that were the case, we could NEVER have gotten to where we are now.
Think about this, think about all the things you've posted about those racist, evil, American hating Liberals taking
away your rights. Then decide.......are you what you APPEAR to be online....do you DEEPLY, HONESTLY subscribe
to those values you profess? If that's the case, NBC, CBS, AND ABC, along with all of their affiliates and cable
subsidiaries are going to suddenly suffer a SERIOUS drop in revenue. If not.....then first....just stop sending me
messages of support, stop "liking" my posts.....leave me the hell alone and settle in for what is likely going to
become your WORST nightmare.
