Never Say Never

Never Say Never
but you'll say it a thousand times to explain why

That's right, we've all heard the old saying "never say never" but explaining why isn't as cut and dried as the saying. It's a little more complicated than that.

I "never" thought the word "tyranny" would be uttered by me on a daily basis but here I am saying it at least once a day in conversation about our government. 20 years ago that word wasn't even in my lexicon but now I say it more than I do my dog's name.

It just proves the saying "never say never" as I "never" thought it would ever come to this yet it has.

I "never" thought the government of the United States would ever come to a point where they would be wanting to confiscate our guns yet they are. Of course they will "never" say that but we all know these alleged "gun control" measures they keep wanting to force upon us will eventually have that affect. They will eventually come for our guns, at least the ones that would be useful to put down tyranny, that word I "never" used to have to use.

The biggest problem we have is that the people we send to Washington to be our so-called "representatives" will try to convince us they have to "compromise" some of our liberty in order to make us safer.  That argument has been used by tyranny and it's "representatives" tyrants, for as long as man has been able to speak, but it's "never" worked out the way they said it would. Not once, "never."

If you have a belief, a stance, a moral compass you live by, then you should never "compromise" or as is said in political circles today, find "common ground."  Simply because some of that ground is always in your territory. You've drawn a line in the sand with your beliefs yet you allow your enemy to step over it when you "compromise." You've given up some of the very ground you use to stand on. That is "never" a wise choice.

Our liberty is our life. It's the air we breath, it's the right to choose your path, your friends, your job, your way of life. It's what makes us human for without it we aren't really much more than farm animals on the plantation of the state. Sheep if you will.

If you're not willing to fight for what your creator gifted you with then what are you? Unlike sheep, we have the cognitive ability to discern our place in life, this planet, this universe. When you have liberty your every nuance in your life is not based upon having to find shelter food and water. You are not always in a fight or flight mode, that primordial emotion that lurks beneath the surface of us all but is rarely called upon. You are free to choose to have fun, enjoy the weather, your family, your friends.

When we become as sheep on the plantation of the state we aren't much more than slaves, hardly human except in appearance.  We've given up that right to enjoy ourselves and surroundings and have to be in constant search of protection. But when we have to seek protection from the government, the very thing we created, the monster of our own making,
can we truly call that liberty?

The government, the politicians, the police, the army, the firemen, will "never" take care of us the way we will take care of ourselves. So if you want to live free, stand up for yourself and never compromise your beliefs in your own life, liberty and your very own pursuit of happiness.
And never say never unless it is you will "never" give up on liberty.
