White House Wants To Ram Future TPP Pact Into Law With No Input From Americans

The Trans-Pacific Partnership will kill American jobs.

The White House is insisting on using so-called "fast-track authority" that will permit only an up-or-down vote in Congress on the final product negotiated by the Trans-Pacific Partnership, according to a recent WND report.

The problem is -- the law allowing a president the authority to "fast track" trade treaties through the legislative branch lapsed back in 2007, according to the Congressional Research Service.

That, however, hasn't stopped U.S. Trade Representative's office from negotiating the TPP pact as if the president has fast-track authority, something the CRS has concluded in a Jan. 24 report he clearly doesn't have.

In other words, the White House doesn't want you through your representatives to have a say on trade and your nation's future sovereignty. That stinks.
