Natural disasters bring grief, loss, and struggle. The recent Hurricane Sandy forced many people to evacuate their homes, abandoning their possessions to the destructive power of the storm. Others were trapped within their homes without electricity, running water or food.
But in the midst of the pain, people with kind souls and good hearts emerge from the woodwork. The pictures below show acts of kindness towards the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Much of the benevolence comes from people who have also suffered and lost because of the storm.
