Are We Headed Toward Another Civil War?

As if we needed any more evidence of how lawless our nation has become in the age of Obama, along come violent union thugs abusing people in Michigan and destroying private property in the process. While Liberals vainly attempt to connect acts of violence to the Tea Party, they and their sycophants in the media overlook Occupy and union violence.

I believe that Americans can and should enjoin each other in civil discourse, no matter how far apart in opinion, without resorting to name-calling or physical confrontation. Today’s Left has no such desire to participate in a civil exchange with those who oppose their beliefs. I fear that we are on the verge of a civil war; worst yet, I feel that those in government want to use the excuse of a civil war to violently curtail our remaining freedoms.

Union thugs tore down an Americans for Prosperity tent and then attempted to stomp on the people who were defenseless beneath the collapsed awning. Steven Crowder, attempting to ask questions of those who were in opposition to the Right to Work legislation, was verbally and physically assaulted. Black business owner Clint Tarver, who was manning his hotdog push cart at the rally, had his equipment destroyed. To add insult to injury, he was repeatedly called “N---er” by the perpetrators.

The Left wants you to believe that they are the tolerant and civil ones while wanting you to believe that conservatives are hate-mongers or racist. Yet not one of them has ever called out Occupy Wall Street for their violent and anti-social behavior; not one has called out the union-supporting thugs for the past Ohio shootings or their recent violent outbursts in Michigan.

I hope that charges are brought against those who chose to use violence against defenseless people. But I fear that if these deeds go unpunished, the guilty parties will become emboldened. The lack of justice may also lead to retaliation or vigilantism, finally giving the Left a reason to paint patriotic Americans as violent.
