House Republican Conference Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) spoke today on the House floor on the Sequestration Transparency Act of 2012, a bill Chairman Hensarling authored which would require President Obama to detail his plans for implementing the $1.2 trillion across-the-board defense and discretionary spending cuts required by the Budget Control Act. The bill, sponsored by Chairman Hensarling and House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI), received overwhelming bipartisan support, passing the House by a vote of 414-2.
