These were some of my childhood 'heroes', along with the Mickey Mouse Club. It's such a shame the children of today don't have programs like this to watch. Captain read us stories, taught crafts and reminded us of the magic words, "Please" and 'Thank you", as well as not forgetting to say our prayers when we went to bed. Mr. Green Jeans always had a new animal to tell us about and arrived with a fresh supply of carrots for Captain to use as payment for Bunny Rabbit's bribes. I still can't look at a collection of ping pong balls without thinking of Mr. Moose. I wish my parents had bought stock in the company that made them.I spent so much of my childhood with Captain Kangaroo, Mr. Green Jeans, Bunny Ra...bbit, Mr. Moose and Dancing Bear. Is it any wonder I turned out the way I did?
