New American Magazine September 1996Written by William Norman Grigg:
Destroying American Liberty:
Trilateral Commission spokesmen insist that the group’s purposes are benign and that it exercises its formidable influences only for good. In an interview published in May 1996 Rockefeller dismissed accusations that the Trilateral Commission is bent on subverting America’s liberty as “absurd” and so absurd that the group can not help but find it amusing. Perceptive observers are hardly amused that the Trilateral Commission’s intellectual progenitor (Council of Foreign Relations) has expressed approval for the most malignant political philosophy in history! MARXISM!
Brizezinski wrote “In Between Two ages” that marxism represents a vital and creative stage in the maturing of man’s universal vision of a victory of reason over belief. Speaking at Mikhail Gorbachev’s “State of the World” forum in October 1995, Brzezinski restated the essence of the Trilateral approach:
“WE CAN NOT LEAP INTO WORLD GOVERNMENT IN ONE QUICK STEP. THIS OBJECTIVE REQUIRES A PROCESS OF GRADUALLY EXPANDING THE RANGE OF DEMOCRATIC COOPERATION; A WIDENING STEP BY STEP AND STONE BY STONE OF EXISTING RELATIVELY NARROW ZONES OF STABILITY. THE PRECONDITION FOR EVENTUAL GLOBALIZATION IS PROGRESSIVE REGIONALIZATION BECAUSE THEREBY WE MOVE TOWARD LARGE AND MORE STABLE, MORE COOPERATIVE UNITS.”
Therefore, step by step and stone by stone the Trilateralists continue to rebuild the conceptual frame of a world society. William Norman Grigg. New American 1996 September, page 14.
