CENSORSHIP OR FREEDOM, IT IS STILL YOUR CHOICE
This is dangerous in many ways. If we become a socialist state, the very thing that catapulted US so fast to the fore in the world hierarchy was free enterprise. The arena where ideas and opportunity came together. The results were innovations in all arenas of life which gave OUR nation a leg up in competitive markets. We did not, however restrict those gains to only our nation. We allowed new inventions and technologies to be available to other nations across the globe. We easily could have had the imperialistic attitude of many of the great societies from the past and used these to conquer and expand the dominance of Untied States of America. We did not. Some will argue from a 21st Century perspective that our very existence was an act of conquering.
First and foremost one has to look at it in the perspective of the times when America was first inhabited by a foreign presence. Global expansion was a trait of European nations and it was a race for control. The primary players were Spain, France and England. Spain was the first nation to inhabit the Americas as it was then called. The English and The French as well as the Dutch were not far behind. The Dutch, however were not in a position of strength or wealth to maintain their hold in the Americas.
We are the ONLY nation in history who did not take the spoils of victory. We could have made Japan a US Possession or Territory, but instead we instituted martial law, helped them form their own style of a democratic government and we also helped them rebuild. The same in Germany, although Russia demanded the spoils of war and took over half of Germany, we did the same with West Germany. When the Berlin Wall came down and the Soviet Union collapsed it was not West Germany clamoring to be reunited with East Germany. It was the oppressed East Germany wanting to be reunited with the free and prosperous West Germany.
This president has shown great disdain for as he has called it "Imperialistic Past". I suggest he avail himself of two items, first a dictionary and then an accurate record of the history of imperialistic empires and an accurate record of American history. This means looking at events in history in the context of the times they occurred in. Contrary to his claims, we are and we always will be a nation with a Christian heritage as long as we remain under the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and The Bill of Rights. Our Unalienable Rights are conferred by Our Creator, Almighty God.
This was an act of brilliance by our Founding Fathers as these rights cannot be removed from US by man. It would take the WHOLE nation standing up and publicly renouncing God before these rights could be assailed. Our own US Supreme Court Building proudly display Moses holding the Ten Commandments, the same commandments used to form our Constitution. This is one of the constraints of the Constitution that Obama is being thwarted by. He and his actions are precisely the reason The Founding Fathers stated it this way.
They in no way intended a government mandated religion such as what most of them had fled England over. The free exercise of religion is the cornerstone of our nation. In that same way the Biblical teachings are to be the guides for all our actions and endeavors as a nation. We were called by God to be a beacon and a light for the world. We have been for over 200 years. Today many governments despise US in the world and many people in the world despise our government. Why? Because we are losing the flame of HOPE and FREEDOM that has been the beacon of men and women whose desire and ambition in life is just the chance to come here and prove to themselves they can, given an opportunity and their industrious efforts earn financial security and freedom for their families.
Each one of US must decide. Do you want the new America this president is striving for or do you want the America which rose in a short period of time to be acknowledged as both the Beacon of Freedom as well as the nation of strength with a military that is second to none.
I listened to a Russian Air Force pilot who was formerly a Soviet Union Air Force pilot state it this way when asked by an American journalist. If we would have ever ended up in an armed conflict how bad would you have beaten the US forces? The pilot quickly and clearly responded that the will of the American military would have easily prevailed. The journalist tried to argue against his statement and he cut him off and indeed silenced him with this further reply. The American military is there because of two facts. Your military serves because of a love of country and the personal freedom of choosing to serve. We were all conscripts, we did not serve by choice.
As we approach 2016 and the end of the Obama presidency, we yet again have a choice in America. Do we as Americans choose to put this era behind US, or do we allow the Obama era to continue by keeping the face of Congress the same and also elect a president who will continue the destructive path he has so adeptly led US down? Changing the president without changing the face and focus of Congress will do NOTHING to the course we are now racing down.
We must also change the face of our state and local government too. They have become tools and advocates for the ever advancing assault on our liberties and rights. They have become intoxicated with the lure of federal money, money that never should have been in the hands of a government that was designed to be both the servant of the very states who formed it, their counties and cities and thus the servant of the people. In my own state of Idaho we have a governor who embraces federal tax dollars and willingly complies by sacrificing the citizens liberties in exchange for "free" money.
Excuse me, but tax money comes from one source, It is from the people of this great nation who still stand by and fully embrace the American ideals. Independence, self reliance, working hard to provide for their families and to provide better opportunities for success for their children and grandchildren. Our taxes have increased at an alarming rate under this administration and they are mostly hidden. The biggest factor in inflation today is in the form of hidden taxes, the majority of which are in the debacle called "Obamacare."
The question you face now is will you by choice stand together willing to do whatever is necessary to preserve these freedoms or will you lay down, give up and be a conscript in the "New America?" The choice is simple Live Free or be in bondage. Join US and preserve the America that we love!
