The Millenials' Guide to Saving the World

Will the Millennials be known as the generation that
let America slip away, or as the generation that rose up and saved it?.

Heads up:
There is a momentum of instability caused by the social, economic, and foreign policies coming out of Washington.  It is gaining strength, both inside the nation, and throughout the world.
This force is like an earthquake, fracturing the earth beneath our feet, affecting almost every aspect of our lives; creating a tsunami like tidal wave of deception, corruption, greed, and betrayal.  Of misplaced loyalties and opposing views.
It will continue to build, reaching its peak in November of 2016.
Sitting atop the waves crest are the Millennials; a generation which inherited the best and the worst of our evolution as a nation and a society.
Embracing technology, they have the ability to communicate and exchange ideas others only dreamed of, giving them a tremendous potential to unite and organize.
Many of the younger millennials, seem, by choice, to live within an insulating cocoon of technology and social media; preoccupied with the present, seemingly unconcerned for the future.   Frustrated, when thinking of the future, may be more accurate; these changing times provide little of the stability needed to plan and move forward with family and careers.
Realizing  this generation can do truly great things for themselves, the nation and the world, I must myself ask myself the following questions.
Will they take control of their lives, size this moment in history, and triumphantly ride that cresting wave onto the beach, claiming the prize of a restored nation and a secure future?
Or, will they remain, as many seem to be, detached and uninvolved, letting the momentum of today’s destructive and dysfunctional leadership keep them off balance and tumbling out of control?  Falling down the face of the wave, and into the water, driven onto the beach;  fighting for survival, wishing they could restore, reclaim the freedoms and opportunities taken from them?

Will the Millennials be known as the generation that let America slip away, or as the generation that rose up and saved it?.

I cannot answer those questions.   I do know this;  if they were my children,  and  I could see dangers they do not realize, or choose to acknowledge,
I would be compelled to offer advice, and hope they listened.

Millennials are the children and grandchildren of my generation; I suggest  we give them a heads up, and offer a bit of guidance.

Which raises another question.  Will they accept It?
