WILL WARREN WING SCUTTLE BUDGET DEAL? Speaker John Boehner delivered on his promise to pass a bipartisan budget bill through the House, and he’s taking plenty of blowback from conservatives for it. But the real test for the two year can-kick seems to be whether Senate Majority Leader Dinky Harry Reid can tame an increasingly unruly liberal wing of his own party.  Far-left senators like Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, Al Franken, D-Minn., Tom Udall, D-N.M. and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., can’t be happy about maintaining more than half of the spending caps from the 2011 debt-limit deal and making no provisions for extended welfare benefits. Given that so many Democrats are secretly rooting for a shutdown, it might even seem like the strategic thing to do for a party stuck in the bogs of nObamaCare. Dinky Reid, who needs four Republican votes if he has all 56 Democrats on board, will have to pick up one GOPer for every liberal who walks away from the deal. Boehner found a way. Can Reid? And as Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin said, “I’m not sure of anything,” when it comes to the vote count. Read more from - Fox News.

WALKER OFFERS OBAMACARE BYPASS Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wis., is floating a proposal that would still channel federal subsidies to Wisconsin’s poor and uninsured, but his plan would allow them to purchase coverage directly from the insurer and sidestep the on-line “exchange” created by nObamaCare. Walker’s plan is finding support from some Democrats, as six of them crossed party lines in the state’s Senate to approve the measure. - Fox News

VOTING IRREGULARITIES COULD SWAY VIRGINIA AG RACE With a recount set in Virginia’s attorney general race for Monday, Matt Lewis at the Daily Caller observes how voting irregularities could work in Republican Mark Obenshain’s favor in his battle against Democrat Mark Herring. Lewis points out that Fairfax County allowed provisional ballots to be cast beyond the state’s deadline. The county also did not file every ballot with the clerk of court the day after the election. Additionally, the Democratic bastions of Hampton Roads and Charlottesville left more than 1,800 names that should have been purged from voter lists on the books.  A judge recently ruled Obenshain’s campaign has a right to the polling books, which show who voted. The State Board of Elections recently certified Herring the winner of the contest by a 165 vote margin.  - Fox News

 Ryan-Murray Budget Passes House
The House passed the Ryan-Murray budget compromise Thursday night by a vote of 332-94. Republicans approved 169-62. (Here's the roll call). In the Senate, Republican opposition to the bill is growing, with the main objection being that it undoes the sequester for the next two years in exchange for down-the-road savings. But as Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) argued, "You can't spend your time making perfect the enemy of the good." Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi told her caucus to "embrace the suck" and vote for the bill -- 163 of them did. - The Patriot Post
1. Bipartisan Budget Deal: Tax and Tax, Spend and Spend
House Liberty Caucus Chairman Justin Amash (R-Michigan) aptly summed up the bipartisan budget deal being pushed by House Speaker John Boehner...and Democratic leaders in Washington with this quip on his Facebook page: “Republicans will agree to more spending, and in exchange, Republicans will get higher taxes.” Putting off real deficit reduction for a decade longer and enacting tax increases now hasn't budged a few stalwart constitutionalists in Congress. “This deal trades spending increases in 2014 and 2015 for spending reductions in 2022 and 2023. I hate to use the cliché, but congress is becoming a cliché by ‘kicking the can down the road’ once again,” Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie wrote in a Facebook post opposing the deal. The Republican Tea Party favorite noted that “Washington has a spending addiction. Just two weeks before current sequester law would have taken effect to slightly curb the spending binge, establishment politicians are using every tool at their disposal to undo the law so they can increase spending.”    http://thenewamerican.com/usnews/congress/item/17152-bipartisan-bud...
2. Congressmen Want to Bring nObama to Court
Congressman Tom Rice of South Carolina, a Republican, is sponsoring a resolution in the House of Representatives that would, if adopted, direct the legislative body "to bring a civil action...for declaratory or injunctive relief to challenge certain policies and actions taken by the executive branch." In other words, Rep. Rice wants to take President nObama to court for not faithfully executing the laws. "President nObama has adopted a practice of picking and choosing which laws he wants to enforce. In most cases, his laws of choice conveniently coincide with his Administration’s political agenda. Our Founding Fathers created the Executive Branch to implement and enforce the laws written by Congress and vested this power in the President.  However, President nObama has chosen to ignore some of the laws written by Congress and implemented by preceding Presidents," Rice wrote in a letter to fellow House members to ask them to co-sponsor this resolution.    http://www.weeklystandard.com/print/blogs/congressmen-want-bring-ob...
3. Sebelius: Above the Law?
Top congressional watchdog Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) had to warn Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius this week that obstructing a congressional investigation is a federal crime...Sadly, we have reached the point in America at which members of President nObama’s cabinet aren’t even squeamish anymore about flouting court orders and legally enforceable congressional directives because they feel secure in the expectation that they will never be held to account. These Democrats know that their misdeeds will not see the light of day because the nObama-worshipping media and opposition party lawmakers are either unduly, unprofessionally sympathetic to nObama’s agenda or are too afraid to confront the president out of fear of being tarred as a racist. http://www.frontpagemag.com/2013/matthew-vadum/sebelius-above-the-l...
4. Kerry’s Iranian Appeasement Pitch to Congress
Bipartisan legislation written by two U.S. senators— the Democratic chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Robert Menendez and Republican Senator Mark Kirk...is asking for alternatives if the Islamist Ayatollahs in Iran do not abide by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and international community rules and standards. The details of the legislation, crafted by Menendez and Kirk, suggest that the sanctions would target Iran’s remaining oil exports, strategic industries, as well as foreign exchange reserves. A senior Republican Senate aide told Reuters, speaking on the condition of anonymity, that this bipartisan legislation is “an insurance policy to protect against Iranian deception.” http://www.frontpagemag.com/2013/majid-rafizadeh/kerrys-iranian-app...
5. nObama Administration Could Think Failure is Success
Apparently we live in the Bizarro world where good is bad so therefore bad must be good. That is the only way that I can explain how Democrat faithful would be happy with this recent report from the nObama administration about nObamacare...The nObama administration says that 365,000 people chose health care plans using nObamacare websites by the end of November. Um. So 365,000 is certainly better than 0. But is it in any way shape or form good? No. Over five million people have LOST their health insurance, and the word is that millions more perhaps upwards of 50 MILLION more will likely be losing their insurance in the very near future. So 365,000 is really no great shakes.     http://eaglerising.com/3539/obama-administration-think-failure-succ...
6. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz: Healthcare.gov Website is Fixed
MSNBC’s Ed Schultz did a little nObama administration PR on Wednesday night when he claimed that the government’s problematic website, healthcare.gov, is fixed...His advice to the Democrats is to tell people, “It works:” As usual, Schultz is off the mark. First of all the website isn’t fixed. The government is admitting to an error rate of 10%, but it’s probably higher, based on the fact that the administration has been fudging the numbers from day one.    http://www.aim.org/don-irvine-blog/msnbcs-ed-schultz-healthcare-gov...
7. nOBAMACARE was Deliberately Designed to Fail
Is the ineptitude of nObamaCare authors and directors really a function of good old-fashioned government incompetence? Or is a widely ignorant American public being taken in...by precisely what members of the radical left WANT to be brought about by the Affordable Care Act? Could the daily disasters–the suspended employer mandate, “honor system” reporting of income, previously unannounced taxes, doctors refusing to treat nObamaCare policy holders, the ludicrous Healthcare.gov website, the baldfaced lies about keeping your insurance and your doctors–could these extraordinary failures actually mean that the rollout of the ACA is proceeding exactly according to plan? “nObamacare is the last step towards universal health care and a single-payer government system.”    http://www.coachisright.com/obamacare-deliberately-designed-fail/
8. Russia Threatens To Use Nuclear Weapons On America
It seems as if the heat has recently been turned up on foreign relations. Russia has recently warned the United States government that if American Missiles target Russia, they will have no choice but to respond with nuclear weapons...This comes in response to a plan that was supposed to be dropped as signaled by the Bush administration. Of course, caring nothing for the desire of other people, nObama has picked the plan back up and revived it. The controversial issue is called the EPAA missile shield. Its main purpose is to have the capability to shoot a missile out of the air before it has the chance to detonate. U.S. officials have decided to set forth motions as they intend to construct the shield in Europe.    http://www.mrconservative.com/2013/12/28895-russia-threatens-to-use...
9. nObama’s Illegal Immigrant Aunt YOU Must Pay Her Way
You may not know this, but nObama has an aunt living on welfare in Boston. She is also an illegal alien. But, worse, she says that we, the American people...are obligated to pay her way for free because she is simply entitled to our money with no effort required on her part. In 2004 an immigration judge ordered that nObama’s Aunt Zeituni Onyango was to be deported. She refused to go, of course. Amazingly, after nObama became President, that very same judge suddenly found his way clear to grant her legal status. nObama claims he exerted no undue influence. We have a bridge to sell you if you believe that.    http://www.mrconservative.com/2013/12/28920-obamas-illegal-immigran...
10. GOP 2014 strategy
Republicans plan to target Hispanics and other minorities for votes while building stronger state parties to turn swing states red, The Daily Caller has learned...GOP operatives and political staffers gathered in Washington, D.C. from Monday to Wednesday for the Republican National Committee’s political staff training conference, “The New GOP Model For Campaigns,” to hash out a winning strategy for the upcoming elections. The GOP plans to entrench grassroots organizers in Democratic-leaning communities to cultivate support from blacks and Hispanics, and buttress red state strongholds, which are key to not only maintaining a majority in the House, but retaking the Senate and presidency as well.    http://dailycaller.com/2013/12/13/gop-2014-strategy-attract-minorit...

Says nObama Lied About Syria -
Tad Cronn
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh has nailed the nObama Administration to the wall with his article in the London Review of Books alleging that President nObama lied to the American people when he said the U.S. has proof that Syria was behind the poison gas attack that nearly led us to war earlier this year.
Hersh says that the White House selectively edited intelligence information to make it appear that officials knew about the sarin gas attack in real time.
According to Hersh: "A former senior intelligence official told me that the nObama administration had altered the available information – in terms of its timing and sequence – to enable the president and his advisers to make intelligence retrieved days after the attack look as if it had been picked up and analysed in real time, as the attack was happening. The distortion, he said, reminded him of the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident, when the Johnson administration reversed the sequence of National Security Agency intercepts to justify one of the early bombings of North Vietnam."
In September, Secretary of State John Kerry said the U.S. had proof that the poison gas attack was carried out on Bashar Assad's orders, and nObama gave his now-infamous "red line" speech as he pushed for military intervention.
Hersh also alleges that the nObama Administration deliberately buried information on the rebel group al-Nusra, which was believed to be capable of manufacturing sarin. Al-Nusra was apparently never considered a suspect in the attack.
According to Hersh, the Administration was learning about the situation after the attack at about the same speed as the public was, and that the early intelligence briefings included no mention of Syria in connection to the attack.
Not surprisingly, media laziness was also a factor, according to Hersh, as journalists did not question a U.N. report that said the rocket used in the sarin attack matched those in the Syrian arsenal. However, further analysis by MIT professor Theodore Postol and other munitions experts revealed that the rocket appeared to have been improvised and was likely made locally, rather than taken from Syria's supply of weapons.
nObama has for years had his eyes on Syria as a military target, and to that end his Administration has smuggled weapons and fighters, many drawn from terrorist groups, to keep the "civil war" going in that country. That nObama would have fabricated a story to blame Syria for an attack it had no involvement in is not really a shock to those who've paid attention to this Administration's actions.
What's significant here is that the allegations come from a Pulitzer Prize winner, one of the demigods of journalism. While it's been easy for the lamestream media to laugh off unknowns and anybody thought to be conservative, or to kill careers and reputations with charges of racism, it will be exceedingly difficult for many journalists to stomach any such treatment of one of their profession's idols.
The writer brought it all home with his comparison of nObama's actions to those of the previous Administration, which the media had no compunction about slandering at every opportunity. "The cherry-picking was similar to the process used to justify the Iraq war," Hersh said.
There's an implicit challenge in Hersh's allegations: It's long past time for the media to treat this president like a politician and not a saint.
