Can The Polls Be Wrong About Romney?

Conservatives, and pretty much anyone outside the Romney campaign who wants to save America from four more years of Barack Obama, have become increasingly frustrated with Romney’s tone deaf, content-free campaign.

With American foreign policy in a shambles and unemployment still above 8% it is hard to understand why Romney isn’t 10 points ahead, or at least starting to pull away from Obama. Instead, he’s is at best even with a president who is running for re-election with only 35% or so of Americans saying the country is headed in the right direction.

In a recent CHQ online poll, 75% of those responding said Mitt Romney needs a new campaign team. While this is an admittedly unscientific sample, it is telling that the conservative leaders and activists who are ConservativeHQ.com’s readers are so concerned about Romney’s prospects that six weeks before the election they think he should fire his entire campaign team.

One major reason that practically everyone outside the Romney campaign -- everyone who wants him to win that is -- is so concerned is because he is showing so poorly in the polls.
