Movie Review - America Imagine A World Without Her

Dinesh D’Souza’s Documentary ‘America: Imagine a World Without Her’ is a film that has received quite a bit of criticism from the leftists.  After seeing this movie, my pride in America soared.  I walked out of the theater with a new resolve to make sure everyone I know, goes to see this film.

The book was pulled a couple days from the shelves at Costco until the public outcry demanded it be placed back on the shelves.  So why are academia and progressives so threatened by a movie that they demand it’s book be removed from Costco’s shelves?  It doesn’t attack the progressives that are fundamentally trying to change our country.  In fact, about half the movie gives the critics the opportunity to share their views in their own words.  Dinesh doesn’t argue or try to change their mind about their beliefs, instead he allows them to share exactly how they see what they claim.  I actually felt the shame of their accusations of what America had allegedly done.  He showed how Saul Alinsky had much influence on the young Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.  In fact, it shows how Hillary is much more like Barack Obama than she is, her husband, Bill Clinton.  If she were elected President we wouldn’t have another administration like Bill Clinton had, instead we would have another one like Barrack Obama has now.

The second half of the film, Dinesh conveys his own story of how he came to America and why he loves her so much.  He explains why so many immigrants desire to come to our country, as we have the freedom to worship God however we chose, we can voice our opinions, have arms defend our families and have the freedom to follow our dreams and make our own way.  He goes on to explain that our country is so exceptional that nations around the world have copied our industrial blueprint and entrepreneurial spirit.

He expounds on just how vital it was to our founding fathers to worship God freely and without oppression.  Not only did they desire freedom to worship the one true God, their faith in God was the cornerstones of our nation’s foundation and government.

Dinesh addresses each of the progressive’s allegations head on and shows America's true history of what occurred.  He presents America's as the great country that it is and how we overcome our challenges and righting the wrongs, like slavery.  It removes all doubt and shame that some would want us to believe.

Our freedom, rights, liberties and pursuit of happiness is slipping away, and it is up to all Americans to grasp America’s true history and unite all American as one nation under God for a second time.  We must not take for granted what our country has been so blessed to have.  Our founding fathers and American leaders throughout our history have cautioned us to safeguard, and fight those who would try to take away what we possess in America.

This movie is a must see and I highly recommend every American whether Conservative or Liberal, young or old, to go see this movie.  It exposes the progressive’s negative and false accusations beautifully and leaves the viewers with such a sense of pride for our country and springs forth a desire to save and protect our great country.
