"And we are here, as on a darkling plain, ....where ignorant armies clash by night." Matthew Arnold
Philips Koenig: Panoramic River Landscape, 1664 |
A darkling plain. This is it, this is
all we have. A dark plain where we have lost our way. Stumbling in
the dark, we fumble fearfully, hoping things will change. It will
not. How have we come to this place? We who write have given
examples. That is not enough. We can talk, write, complain, but not
until we assemble together will we change this country. We need more
than a handful of people--Tea Party, conservative unions--it will
take those who remember and taught their children what life was
before the day the sun went out. Sun meaning our freedoms that we
took for granted. We were Americans! It was as if we were so
special that nothing could change; it was our God-given right to live
life freely without consent from a President. We did not think about
the global community. We were a world unto ourselves.
I know many of you have instructed your
children and their children about communism. Now we have to find a
way to keep it out of our lives and theirs. The darkness, like the
year without a summer in 1816, has arrived. Our seeds of truth can
not be nurtured in the dark. Until we learn how to push out the dark
from our lives we will not accomplish anything. The dark being the
hidden agendas and lies told to us by this administration. It goes
deeper than that, but it is a start. We need to rip out the weeds
choking out the seedlings threatening to kill them. Daily we must
fight to keep alive the freedoms we have.
As many know, this is how it begins,
like slicing baloney as, Hitler stated. How will you take Europe,
Herr Hitler? Simple--one slice at a time.” He did it, too. So
many were fooled, including England, the Pope, France, not to mention
the Jews of Europe. We are in desperate times, similar to Germany,
out of work, hungry, struggling from one paycheck to the next,
counting under our breath how much is affordable at the grocery
store. Yet Hitler came like the Sun, like Obama's first message to
the people: he was a centrist, pragmatic, post-partisan, and
transparent. He was the Sun to liberals, but disguised as the
“Audacity of Hope”, a sermon he stole from Rev. Wright and his
Black Liberation Church. Many of us knew that there was no real
information on him; instead the media hid what they knew. Many of
you did your own research. You knew, you spoke against it.
Now as we watch the liberals come
unraveled over taxes on people who make $30,000 (and some will pay
more than those who make $400,000 a year), we are not shocked. But
many will realize as their paychecks go down again that the Dark of
Obama has shown his narcissistic self. They know he goes on vacations
that cost more than many can imagine. In a time when we the people
can barely make ends meet, he spends our taxes on his leisure. We
are his own personal bank account. He ignores poverty in this
country, creating more by overspending on bloated government and
handouts to his favored cronies like Solyndra and G.E.,
redistributing what Americans have worked hard for all their
lives—security. He will chip and whittle for the next four years
until we will not recognize this country. We do not have time!
Daily we have to organize our local political parties. Never,
never, never give up!
