Which Republicans Will make the Final Cut !
Republican primary voters will get more insight this week into the presidential candidates vying for their party's nomination as the contenders prepare to square off in the first primary debate.
And with the rise of Donald Trump and the drama his surge has provoked, the first debate is arguably the most anticipated 2016 election event to date.

Trump Triumphant
Whether you like Donald Trump or not is irrelevant. On Thursday, Donald Trump will appear on a Presidential debate stage with nine other Americans out of more than 300 million people.
The nine candidates who will be on stage with Trump still have not figured out how to deal with Trump. Maybe by Thursday they will. The way to deal with Trump is to speak on the issues that galvanize the Republican base — the dysfunction of Washington and the capitulation of the Washington Republicans.
Trump is triumphant. He is on the stage as a player. If they gang up on him, he wins. If they ignore him, he wins. Trump alone can sabotage Trump on Thursday. He might do that. He might not show a grasp of issues. He might nuance his foot into his mouth.
The simple truth of Thursday is that Trump has the least to lose and is least likely to lose it. The other simple truth is that Trump’s campaign would not even exist if the Republican Party in Washington, D.C. kept its promises and liked the non-monied portion of its base.
You may not like Donald Trump, but Trump is on a debate stage on Thursday and you and I are not.

It’s time to admit that we're all stumped by Trump.
Maybe he decides to play nice during Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate – a frontrunner acting . . . well, presidential.
Or, loving as he does the spotlight and klieg lights, Trump gives what at least some portion of the GOP electorate craves: a world-class temper tantrum.
Bottom line: who knows?
This much we can be certain of. This first big debate of the 2016 presidential season won’t be the same as the one that kicked off the process for Republicans four years ago. Continue Reading ...Here
POETICALLY SPEAKING CONSERVATIVELY
"Countdown To The GOP Debate"
by Joe Esposito
This week we are seeing the Republican candidates. I bet you are thrilled
We'll hear the scripted answers to questions. More promises unfulfilled
They'll build a fence. Oh sure. How many years have we heard this??
Most of them are disgustingly mealy mouthed and so damn easy to dismiss
If not for Trump we'd hear very little about the scourge of illegal immigration
The polls reflect how truly fed up we are with this GOP. So much dissatisfaction
Donald Trump has injected energy in this humdrum campaign. So refreshing is he
He projects someone with the balls to tell it like it is. A man of authenticity
He gains significantly in one eyes for he does not have the Washington stigma
That counts for quite a bit, my fellow patriots. It really does. I'm not kiddin' ya
Be thankful that the candidates on the stage will be only ten. What a relief!
They'll all be there. Out of this stellar(?) group will be our next Commander in Chief
I have to be honest with you. I'm rooting for Trump. The rest give me indigestion
So many are deceitful SOBs and they frankly leave me in state of depression
We will hear all their talking points and all of their you know what piled so high
Our heads will spin as each promise they make will turn into lie after lie
Call me cynical but don't dare call me a fool. I've seen enough campaigns over time
What these lying bastards have allowed to happen to America borders on crime
Our cynicism as promises made remain unfulfilled. It's a dagger to our heart
Aside from Trump and Cruz this is a most woeful group. Soon I hope they'll depart
Trump is beholden to no one. He's a man of achievement. That cannot be denied
Over the years these elected officials have failed abysmally at everything they've tried
I'm sick of hearing the endless platitudes. It's more than enough to get one sick
Give me a candidate that tells it like it is. Give me someone, anyone who is authentic
Is Trump that person? It appears to be so. If anything he has revived the GOP
He has instilled life in a dying political party. The polls reflect this. It's reality
Let's not be under any illusion. He must stand up to scrutiny. Only time will tell
All I know is that this political system needs a jolt. It's put us through sheer hell
