The most important thing that we can do for our nation is to pray. God hears and answers prayer. I believe there is a powerful Biblical model for turning the nation back to God. It starts with repentance. Not only by the nation but by God's people. Confessing our own sinfulness. In the time of Nehemiah the nation of Israel was in real trouble. When Nehemiah began to pray for the people's hearts to be turned and for the nation to be restored he said, "I confess the sins that we have committed against You. Both I and my father's house have sinned. We have acted corruptly towards You and have not kept Your Commandments and statutes you gave to Moses. (Nehemiah 1:6,7) (unquote Rev. Graham.)

From Distant Shores...God sent them here from distant shores...Free soil to walk upon. For me and mine...For you and yours to call our Home Sweet Home. They fled from persecution. They fought for their own lives. In that great Revolution they paid our freedom's price. But we, unlike our fathers. have walked in paths so strange....We just could not be bothered when God's own laws were changed. They took the Ten Commandments and Bible out of School Our children we abandoned. We let the devil rule. And now it's time for reaping the seeds that we have sown. We should have fought for keeping the laws we're based upon. PLS
