Reflections From the Wall:

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund VVMF by President Jim Knott, founder Jan Scruggs 1982

Looking Back:

The virtual memorial collection from the wall includes approximately 500 out of more than 400,000 items left at the wall since its dedication in 1982. the online collection gives the public an honest view of how the people began to mourn following the Vietnam War. The items are not only characteristic of the men and women listed on the Wall but help tell the stories of the families and the national healing. More than 4 million people visit the Wall each year. Please join us May 30,2016 as we celebrate Jan’s legacy of service to American Veterans with a retirement gala in Washington DC in his honor. All proceeds will benefit VVMF as we continue Jan’s mission to honor veterans and educate future generations. To donate, or for more information on the gala, visit VVMF.org/gala

Note From Pearl :

My brother, Robert G. Comer is a Vietnam Veteran. He returned home safely but many of his Buddies are still on his mind. I gave a few dollars now and then when possible to the VVMF. I have a face book friend with the same name who sent “pay it forward” to me so when I got the newsletter I checked and he is not the same one.
