No greater love
that man should give his life;
O friend, that He
should give His life for you!
God sent His Son
to this world full of strife
Realizing all the
pain that He'd go through.
Enchained by sin,
man had nowhere to go;
Atonement was no
option for him yet,
Til Christ the
Lamb allowed His blood to flow
Exacting His own
life without regret.
Remember how our
Savior took the cross,
Led by His precious
love for you, He died;
On Calvary our Saviour
bore the loss,
Vouched by the
Father's promise He'll abide.
Emancipate yourself
from sin! In Christ confide!
No one has greater love than this,
that someone would lay down his life for his
friends.
